General Situation: Generally fair conditions continue. Then a tropical wave brings some changes starting late tonight. 24hr Forecast: Sunny with cloudy periods today. Partly cloudy at first tonight becoming cloudy at times near dawn. Showers and thundershowers will be isolated but will being to show some increases late this evening and tonight.

Winds: Easterly at 5 to 15 knots. Sea State: Choppy.

Outlook: For Tuesday to Wednesday morning is for mainly cloudy skies along with some outbreaks of showers and thundershowers affecting most areas.

Highs (today) 32°C / 89°F
Lows (tonight) 24°C / 75°F

Tropical Weather Outlook: During last night tropical storm grace formed well over the netheastern atlantic and poses no threat to any land areas.

Lime was packed yesterday afternoon with people wanting to support Saga and buy the great new Calendar  put out by FOTHS.  The Calendar models were busy signing away and people enjoyed the free burgers dogs and beer that came with every purchase of a calendar.

Thanks goes out from FOTHS to… everyone who donated prizes – helped out at the event – came and showed support and Conch Creative for their fantastic photography.

Belize will be the site of Sanford Health’s first international children’s clinic. The new Sanford Children’s Clinic Belize is expected to open in 2011 in Belize City. Sanford Children’s Clinic Belize will work collaboratively with a number of organizations to assist in development and ongoing operations. Sanford Health also opened its first Sanford Children’s World Clinic location in Duncan, OK, in August. (Continue Reading)

Is international real estate on the upswing?

I’ve been reading articles lately which indicate a possible step up for international real estate. According to some international property real estate salespeople, overseas property is on an upswing.

Not so fast, I would say. Two of the things that could happen in this market are increased sales volume and increased sales price. While perhaps there is an increase in the volume of sales (and I’m not agreeing there is), I see nothing indicating that the sales prices are recovering–or even leveling off. (Continue Reading)

Coastal Xpress takes over sponsorship of San Pedro Dolphins

In a gesture of goodwill to the community of San Pedro, the new water ferry service, Coastal Xpress, has taken over sponsorship of the town’s semi-pro soccer team; the San Pedro Dolphins. “It’s not something we expect to make any money out of; some things are more important to a community than that,” manager Darrell Williams told the Ambergris Daily.

“We became aware the club were having financial problems and decided to step in and help them out with transportation and wages.” (Continue Reading)
