Belize Tourism Board | Over the past 18 months, the BTB, through the Aviation Development Committee, has maintained an active dialogue with JetBlue Airways to initiate service from the North East USA to Belize. JetBlue took off in 2000, proving that an airline can deliver excellent service at reasonable fares both domestically and internationally.
Service to Belize by JetBlue would prove a vital opportunity for your clients to visit at a lower fare and the impetus for much needed competition and additional demand. JetBlue’s Vice President, Scott Laurence, noted publicly that they will launch service to all six remaining Central American countries (including Belize) in the near future. We anxiously await seeing them here.
With this in mind and with the consent of Jet Blue, we kindly ask for your assistance to share your company’s support for this proposed service by e-mailing Erik Smith at erik.smith@jetblue.com. Knowing that there are agents and wholesaler partners whose clients would use JetBlue, your support can be seen as the final element for a service announcement and start date.

I visited Belize for the very 1st time this year and can not wait to go back
If Jet Blue flew to Belize, it would be the only airline I’d use. I love Jet Blue.
Please tell Jet Blue we use them all the time, including yesterday, and are anxious to offer our 150 plus client/owners the option of using Jet Blue to come to Belize. We will help keep them busy.
Would be great if JetBlue would come to Belize. Right now travel from the Northeast is difficult with connections and layovers.

We have a dive and tour operator company here in Placencia. We have a large internet following, and many of fans are from Eastern US areas. I’m sure we would have more visitors if they had more reasonable fares to Belize available to them. There are many very nice hotels, tour operators, restaurants, and the best beach on the Belize mainland here in Placencia. This is a wonderful destination in Belize that I know many people would visit, and many past visitors would return to.

As we cannot afford a rather large revenue guarantee, We have to prove to them that the demand for BZE from the NE exists…and that we WILL SUPPORT YEAR ROUND them when they come…
They are fearful that they will come in, lower the fares, AA/CO/DL match and then everyone goes back to those carriers so they can get their FF miles.
Would love to refer my clients to use JetBlue when coming to Belize. I personally would love to see this airline in Belize. I have used several times to visit the northeast. This would be a great addition to Belize!!!!
