Charlie and Jambo’s Weather Report on Ambergris Caye
It is a good day to go diving as it is slightly overcast with a strongish breeze.
We are going for a walk to Victoria House or at least that is what Jambo has told me.

Tuff E’Nuff tours had two of their employees driving a 4 wheeler on the beach from the library to central park. how of ten they did this is unknown but with the amount of children on the beach once was more than enough.
Obviously the laws only apply to certain people and companies.
Last Sunday Lupito arrived at San Pedro Animal Hospital at about 3pm after being hit by a car. His owner was distraught. Both his front legs had been injured. After an examination it was found that his right front leg had only superficial injuries. His heart and lungs were normal and he was amazingly stable considering what had just occured. His left front leg had been stripped of all skin, muscle, vessels and nerves. Only the bone remained. He was, of course, in extreme pain. (more…)
The weather appears to be changeable, and the sea is fairly rough. There is a good breeze, and it is a great day for going to Estelle’s which as everyone knows has the best bar-b-qued ribs on the island.
We had some great games last week at Pedro’s with lots of new members and the return of several old friends. We’re going to have a ton more fun and poker action this week. Here’s all the details…
Tournaments
If you haven’t heard, we have announced a new annual tournament series, the San Pedro Poker Open to be held on April 6th, 7th and 8th and will culminate in a $500 championship event where we will be naming San Pedro Poker Champion of 2012.
For more information, please see the invite on Facebook… https://www.facebook.com/events/290785490991336/
In preparation for event, we’re going to be running satellites each Sunday and Wednesday leading up to the event.
On Sunday March 18th at 3pm, we’ll be running a $120 satellite. We will be paying one $500 seat for every 5 entries with one seat guaranteed. Late registration and reentry will be permitted for the first two levels.
There will be no 2pm Sunday satellite this week.
On Wednesday, we’ll be running a 50/50 turbo satellite at 7:00pm. Buy in is $110 and we will be playing down to 50% of the field. Winners will get $200 tournament entry chips. No late registration will be permitted to this satellite so be sure to get there early.
Cash Games
We will be spreading 1/2 US NL Hold’em on Sunday (5pm), Monday (7pm) and Wednesday (7:45pm). Note that there is no Tuesday game this week. As always cash game players get free food and drinks.
We still have a TV to give away. The first cash game player who gets a straight flush wins a 32″ flatscreen TV. Both your hole cards must play and you must make it to showdown. If we haven’t given away the TV by the end of the month, we’re going to be giving a tablet computer to the high hand for the month. Currently the high hand is going to Allie who had Quad Tens with a King Kicker.
I certainly hope to see you this week at Pedro’s.
Best Regards and Better Cards,

The Belize Yacht Club has decided that they are privatising their dock which is built like all docks on public land. They say that the dock is for use of their guests and their guests only.
Today the security jack booted thugs that they employ threw off some tourists who were waiting for a trip to Hol Chan. The tourists were very confused at being called crooks and thieves by these thugs as they had been told to await pick up on the dock.
Former CEO of the Belize Toiurism Board,Mike Singh, who is part owner of the Belize Yacht Club was unavailable for comment on this contravention of Belizean law. The manager of the BYC said we can do what we like and the dock is private property.
All docks are by law for the use of all members of the public. Otherwise the permit issued by the Town Council should be rescinded.
Come on down to drink a glass of cold draft guiness mixed with champagne. This is what is on special at Pedro’s tonight and it is called black velvet.
Gino and the Shachshakers will be providing the sounds and have been practising irish music all week. They kick off at 7.30pm.
Prizes will be given to people who come in tyradtional costumes.
It is slightly hazy but I suspect tyhis will burn off by mid morning and the sun will come out and it will be a serious hot one.
This means all should all head for the swimming pools or the beaches and take things easy for the rest of the day.
Does anyone agree with the Ambergris Daily that it is totally ridiculous to witness the sun rising at 5.00am and the sun setting at 6.30pm.
The government should listen to the people and push the clocks forward 2 hours and leave it that way for good.
The advatages are that residents electric bills would be vastly reduced as there would be no need to have lights on. it would be great for kids who could and should be able to play outside after finishing their homework. At the moment all they can do is play computer games which is not an ideal way to grow up.
There will be a 1/2 Texas Hold ‘Em game tonight and the start time will be 7.00pm. Remember there is a 32″ flat screen tv to be won, and a Kindle Fire. good luck to all players.
