Fundraiser/Flea Market on Monday October 12th

There is an emergency fundraiser for Deni Eiley today at BC’s Bar (Monday, October 12th) starting at 11:00 AM. Deni is Dulce Wolfe’s sister and was attacked in her own home on Friday Night.

Deni is in hospital and the family needs help with her medical expenses. Dulce is always the first to help others, let’s help her. This is a full on short notice Flea market! If you have things to sell: clothes, food, rice and beans, cakes, cookies, fresh banana nut bread, LUNCH,…Tarot Card readings, 5 minute shoulder massages, whatever it is please turn out today.

Texas Hold'Em Poker

The South Ambergris Caye Neighbourhood Watch is hosting a Texas Hold’ Em Poker Tournament and Spelling Bee tonight at Pedro’s Inn starting at 7:00 pm. The Poker Tournament buy-in is $210 Bz.

Poker players are asked to arrive by 6:30 pm to confirm seating. The previous limit of 24 players has been raised to 30 players.

If you are not a poker player there will also be hourly 50-50 cash draws (plus a bonus of 2 bar tabs at Pedro’s Inn for $100 each). If you think you can spell, win cash prizes in the Poker Night Spelling Bee. It is only $10 Bz to enter the Spelling Bee and it guarentees to be fun (and very funny!).

Justices of the Peace Training Seminar

The Association of Justices of the Peace &  Commissioners of the Supreme Court would like to visit San Pedro on the 24th October, 2009 to conduct a training seminar and re-establish the chapter.  Cost of training is $20.00 per person.

The seminar will commence at 6:00 p.m. and should take approximately 2 hours. The meeting to re-establish the chapter should last approximately 45 minutes.

To re-establish at chapter the group will need to elect a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Public Relations officer, Legal advisor and two councilors. “Babe” of the Week

“Babe”-in-Training Zoe: Still a bit sloppy down the front with drinki-poos – even with a lidded cup and straw and is clearly quite perplexed about that. But she’s working on it.

Another of Zoe’s qualifications is that she is currently quite bilingual – flirts in both Spanish and English and with both people and dogs.  Zoe also eats oysters, with gusto.

Lime was packed yesterday afternoon with people wanting to support Saga and buy the great new Calendar  put out by FOTHS.  The Calendar models were busy signing away and people enjoyed the free burgers dogs and beer that came with every purchase of a calendar.

Thanks goes out from FOTHS to… everyone who donated prizes – helped out at the event – came and showed support and Conch Creative for their fantastic photography.

Free Beer & Burgers, Bikinis and Man’s Best Friend

What do you need for the perfect party?  Free beer, free burgers, free hot dogs and balloons?  Or how about a group of sexy men and women?  Or maybe some great music, fun games and fantastic prizes?  Even better – what if it is all for a good cause?

On Sunday the 4th of October, Friends of the Humane Society (FOTHS) will be hosting the launch of their 2010 Humane Society Calendar at Lime Bar and Grill (opposite Tropic Air Terminal) from 12 noon until 6pm.  The calendar features some of San Pedro’s most gorgeous pet owners posing for glamorous shots with their pets to help raise money for the SAGA Humane Society. BTIA Customer Service Training

The local San Pedro BTIA will be offering a customer service training course on October 17th at the SunBreeze conference center. Dionne Chamberlain will be doing the half day session and she assures that this will be for “excellence for the front line staff.”

The cost is $25 per person for members and $35.per person for non members. The session will start promptly at 1:30 and should end around 4:00.  Please send as many of your staff as you feel necessary.
