What a sad day, with the passing of a great and generous man, who will be sorely missed by everyone. It was hoped he would manage and dispers all donations resulting from a fund raising drive we hope to launch at a benefit concert at MCC Field on April 17 where I and Linda Gail Lewis will appear together with the Gilharry 7 orchestra. This drive to improve the services of the Belize Blood Bank became glaringly obvious when a 7 year old girl who was shot by accident a couple of weeks ago, had to wait for the life-saving operation until her parents had gathered a sufficient number of blood donors, where Sir Bowen’s sponsorship and fund management were essential to our plans, and we hope one of his sons will assume this responsibility now. This is a sad day indeed, and I offer my deepest condolences to all of his family. Thore Hansen
