Ramon’s Village Burns

During Charlie’s wake on Tuesday night we were informed that a fire had broken out at Ramon’s Village. It was a bit of an understatement as flames where burning atleast 15 feet higher than the top of the 3 storey Wine Devine building. In the light of day it was clear that a vast majority of Ramon’s guest buildings, as well as the office/gift shop/bar & restaurant where completely destroyed.

Kudos to the Emergency Services who did what they could do in a difficult situation, as well at the community who rallied together to form a bucket brigade when it was clear that water pressure from the fire hydrant stations was insufficient to handle the needs of the fire fighters.
