Julia – the manager – is certifiably crazy. We booked an Ocean Suite room over the holidays on their website, which asked us to pay in full. However, we only got deducted partial fee. So when we followed up, they deducted the remaining amount and confirmed our reservation was fine…until we showed up at the hotel and they had no records of the reservation. They stuck us in a studio temporarily, and wouldn’t reimburse us for the downgrade or hassle since they said the fee posted on their own website was wrong. Then we got robbed less than a block from the hotel – they had no security on the beach, only town-facing. When we stopped by the lobby to try to cancel my credit cards, they handed me a cell phone since they had no landline. Then they told us we owed US$5 per minute on 22 worth of calls (the cell actually ran out of credit mid-call so we didn’t finish our calls), or $110. We told them that was unreasonable because we called collect. So Julia told us if we didn’t pay, it will come out of the receptionist’s pay. We had heard her make this lie to other guests, so we ignored her. She walked out of the lobby, only to return several minutes later to check if we changed our minds. We hadn’t, so she told the receptionist to call the police. We asked why she lied to our face and wasn’t honest from the beginning. She replied she’s tired of being “conned” by all the guests and how did she know I even got robbed. WTF. Make sure you use your Amex so you can stop payment on unreasonable charges…that’s what at least 2 other couples are doing…just from our trip alone. Best of luck.

We do not pay personal long distance calls for guests and we are not responsible for roberries outside of our resorts.We have 24/7 security and our land line number to reach us is 226-2777.
